Yoga Workshops
By introducing yoga into your school you are opening children up to the beauty and light within themselves, thereby boosting their self-confidence, allowing them to feel more comfortable with their bodies, and helping them get in touch with who they are inside. A child who learns yoga, mindfulness and relaxation will be developing essential skills for a lifetime of health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.
Yoga is a discipline that enables children to find their path towards a calm and balanced mind, as well as helping them build a strong and flexible body..
Our experience days give school’s the chance to offer the benefits of yoga to all of the children within their school setting.
Karma Kids Yoga Therapy works with the school to provide a day that is fun, beneficial, calming and interactive for all ages.
It allows children and teacher’s to interact with each other and provides everybody with new tools that they can use to help them self regulate, find clarity and calm within both mind and body.
These sessions are bespoke to each school, and we pride ourselves on devising lesson plans that cover your needs and expectations, working with you on times and grouping.
This ties in nicely with ‘Healthy Schools’ week, ‘Mental Health Awareness’ and Well-Being events.
Yoga Clubs are a great addition to the school day, we provide:
Breakfast Clubs – Using uplifting and energising yoga poses, games and breathwork, to set you up for the day ahead.
Lunchtime Clubs – By implementing a yoga club half way through the day, you are able to reset both the body and the mind ready for an afternoon of learning.
After-School Clubs – A perfect way to finish your school day, bringing in calming poses, group work, relaxation and meditation, ready to settle you in for the evening.
Teacher’s spend their school day looking after all those around them, this is a chance for all staff members to come and look after their own well-being.
These classes provide movement and stretches to the body after being at a desk all day, whilst incorporating breathing techniques and guided meditations to bring peace and calm to the mind.
These sessions can be held at the beginning or end of a school day, or even as part of a training day where they can learn new tools and techniques that they can.
